Cancellation Policy:

  1. Refunds:

    a. Refunds are only possible if cancellation is requested no later than 8 weeks before the start of the event, which is August 26th, 2025.
    b. Any cancellation requests received after this deadline will not be eligible for a refund, regardless of the circumstances.

    c. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of receiving the cancellation request.

  2. Payment Deadline:
    a. Full payment for the summer camp must be made by July 18th, 2025.
    b. Failure to make full payment by the specified deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and deposit.

  3. Payment agreement:
    a. By paying the required deposit to secure your reservation, you acknowledge and agree to make full payment for the summer camp event by the specified deadline.

    b. Failure to make full payment by the specified deadline may result in the loss of your reservation and deposit, as outlined in the cancellation policy.

Photography & Video Footage

  1. Photographs and Video Footage:
    a. By attending the summer camp, you consent to the use of photographs and video footage taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes.
    b. MCC Scotland reserves the right to use these images and footage in print materials, online platforms, and social media channels.

Safety and Participation:

  1. Safety & Participation:
    a. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, participants acknowledge and accept that the summer camp includes outdoor activities that inherently involve some level of risk, including but not limited to: wild swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, archery, highland games, and outdoor hikes.
    b. Participants are responsible for assessing their own physical fitness and health condition before participating in any activities.
    c. MCC Scotland and its staff will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of participants during activities. However, participants understand and acknowledge that accidents and injuries can occur despite these precautions.
    d. Participants agree to follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by MCC Scotland staff during the summer camp.
    e. Participants understand that they may choose to abstain from participating in any activity they deem too risky or unsafe for their comfort level.
    f. MCC Scotland shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during the summer camp, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of MCC Scotland staff.

Responsible Alcohol Use and No-Drug Policy:

  1. Alcohol & Drug use:
    a. Participants are expected to consume alcohol responsibly and in accordance with local laws and regulations.
    b. The use of illegal drugs or substances prohibited by law is strictly prohibited during the summer camp event.
    c. MCC Scotland reserves the right to remove any participant found to be in violation of this policy from the event, without refund.
    d. Participants understand that the consumption of alcohol or drugs may impair judgment and coordination, increasing the risk of accidents and injuries during activities.
    e. MCC Scotland shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or incidents resulting from the use of alcohol or drugs during the summer camp event.
