ARE YOU READY FOR THE
adventure of a lifetime?
January 11-14th & 18-21st, 2027
Past the high mountains of Kirondale lies a land that some say is older than man itself, Highreach.
Rolling hills press against towering peaks crowned in snow, while great lochs wind through the land like ancient roads.
Here, largely cut off from the rest of the world, the old lore endures. Ancient standing stones, strange carvings, and peculiar mounds are tucked away in the misty landscape.
Those who call it home have long known to respect what cannot be seen, for this is a land that demands caution. Villagers whisper of thin places, where the veil between the Material Plane and the Realm of the Sìth wears thin. In these places, dangerous beings wait, time falters, paths twist, and a wrong step can carry a traveler to their death—or, perhaps, somewhere else entirely.
Journey to Highreach, where the veil thins, and test your courage, steel, or wit against the alluring peril of the Sìth.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT
The Journey to Highreach
ACCOMODATION:
The Journey to Highreach unfolds at Glencruitten House, a luxury estate nestled in the hills above Oban, brimming with whimsical corners, fantastical furniture, and empire-sized beds that are entirely, blissfully yours.
Every adventurer gets their own private room and bathroom (plus two "besties rooms" for those who'd rather share the magic). With a maximum of 15 guests, this is as intimate as it gets, a fairy garden, roaming peacocks, and alpacas included.
ACTIVITIES:
Our Journey to Highreach is a 4 day experience that begins in Edinburgh and winds north through the Scottish Highlands with every stop along the way chosen to pull you deeper into the world of your game.
By day, the landscape is the lore. You'll walk the hush of standing stone circles, explore the crumbling grandeur of Carncasserie and Finlarig Castle, stand small beneath the mountains of Glencoe, and uncover the ancient layers of Kilmartin Museum. These aren't detours, they're the realm, made real.
By night, your adventure unfolds at the table. Each evening brings 3–4 hours of gameplay, split across two games and guided by two experienced DMs who can’t wait to welcome you to Highreach.
The full schedule and every stop along the route are waiting for you below.
FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD!
Adventurers have to eat! Your journey includes a welcome drink on arrival at Glencruitten House, three cooked breakfasts, and three two-course dinners, plus your pre-adventure tavern meet-up before the quest begins will include a jug of ale (or your desired beverage!) All dietary needs are happily catered for.
Lunch, drinks, and snacks beyond these are not included and will need to be covered individually, but we'll provide suggestions and options for each stop along the way, so there's no guess work required!

Scotland is an incredible country, especially during the winter. But due to its wild, raw and rugged nature, some stops & timings may need to be adjusted for the safety & enjoyment of our adventurers.
That being said, there’s no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing! Ensure you pack well and follow our packing list closely and we’ll embrace what the Scottish winter has to offer.

The evening before departure, we gather at a local Edinburgh tavern to meet your fellow adventurers and play through a two-hour tutorial session together, as you know, tutorials before you begin a video game are the best way to immerse quickly!

Can I attend with a friend?
You absolutely can and there will be an opportunity for you to let us know who you’re attending with after you’ve booked your place! Whether you’d like to share 1 of the besties rooms together or have a room to yourself, bringing a pal is absolutely welcome!
Please don’t forget this is a ladies only event, leave the boys behind for this one! 😉
Can I attend by myself?
We actually recommend you attend by yourself! A certain kind of magic happens when you take the leap into our spaces and show up as exactly who you want to be (without anyone elses pre conceived notions of who you are!) Over 95% of our attendees are solo adventurers, we challenge you be part of that 95%How large are the rooms?
You can take a look at the rooms available at Glencruitten House right here.
But believe us when we say they are VERY luxurious! An empire sized bed really says it all, don’t you think? Are there any age restrictions?
Camp Spooky is an 18+ event and the majority of our attendees range between 20-45!
Are there any fantasy elements to The Journey to Highreach?
Our gameplay is very fantasy coded, and our locations along the trip are loaded with myth & magic.
Our accommodation really leans into the fantasy realm too, we can’t wait to show you!We encourage you to bring costume pieces to lean into your character, but it’s by no means necessary!
Will men be on site at the retreat?
All of our attendees and DMS are women, but our caterers and some activity providers will be men. We endeavour to bring you the BEST experience at MCC, which means hiring the best folks to work with us. These vendors are handpicked and completely understand the ethos of the MC club and add a valuable and safe energy to our events.
How physically active will this be?
We consider ourselves lazy outdoors girlies here at the MCC. All outdoor included activities will require basic fitness, but nothing crazy! If you’re worried, please get in touch for us to clarify.
What is your refund / cancellation policy?Refunds:
We totally get it – sometimes plans change. Please note that deposits are non-refundable. If you’ve paid in full and need to cancel, we can review your booking and see what’s possible as long as you let us know at least 10 weeks before your event date. We’ll always do our best to help when plans take an unexpected turn.
Cancellation Policy:
Life happens, and we understand that. If you need to cancel within 10 weeks of your event date, refunds unfortunately aren’t guaranteed due to commitments already made with our vendors. But don’t worry – we’re still here to help explore any options that might work for you. Just reach out, and we’ll chat through the best path forward together.
Can I read the D&D treatreat T&CS?
